Intruder Found Inside Grocery Store

Lincoln Police were called to the Russ’s Market at 15th and Coddington on Monday, April 19th just after 8 a.m. to investigate a burglary.

Officers spoke with a 44 year old man who said he was cleaning the store earlier that morning.  Around 1 that morning the worker saw a man inside the store.  The worker confronted him and he ran off.  Initially it was believed that nothing had been taken from the store and he got into the building through an unlocked door.

Officers reviewed security video that shows the man walk into the store and try several doors and drawers.  The victim also reported that his lunch box had been taken.  Inside was an envelope with cash and ear buds.
