Two Arrests On Drug And Weapons Charges

The Lincoln Lancaster County Task Force saw a vehicle make several traffic violations at 12th and F Street around 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 7th.  The vehicle parked and investigators tried to speak with the driver and passenger.  24 year old Austin Harrington got out of the passenger side of the vehicle and ran from officers.  Harrington was eventually caught and tackled him to the ground.  He eventually was taken into custody after a short struggle.

Investigators located brass knuckles in Harrington’s pocket.  Harrington is prohibited from possessing weapons due to a felony conviction.

The female driver, 34 year old Natasha Graham remained at the vehicle.

Investigators found two syringes on the driver’s seat.  The contents tested positive for methamphetamine.  A backpack on the passenger floor where Harrington had been seated contained a scale with methamphetamine residue.

Harrington also had two outstanding arrest warrants for theft and traffic offenses.  Harrington was booked for possession of a deadly weapon by a prohibited person, possession of a controlled substance, obstructing a police officer, resisting arrest and for the outstanding warrants.

Graham was booked for possession of a controlled substance.
