Lincoln – Lancaster County Health Department Reports 60 COVID-19 Cases Friday

The Lincoln – Lancaster County Health Department reports 60 new COVID-19 cases today.  The total number of cases are now at 28.432.  There have been 221 deaths and 14.261 recoveries.

The weekly positivity rate for February 28th through March 5th is at 17.4%.  The rate for February 21st through the 27th was 21.9%.

Hospitalizations for COVID-19 positive patients today totals 45, with 27 from Lancaster County (one on a ventilator) and 18 from other communities (two on ventilators).

The county has administered 56,499 first dose of the vaccine and 33,580 second doses.

The next vaccination clinic is Saturday, March 6, Center for People in Need, 3901 N. 27th St. – school staff ages 52 and older and those who work with students who aren’t able to wear masks.

LLCHD to work with Bryan Health on a clinic for individuals with serious health conditions.

Registration:  An online COVID-19 vaccine registration form for Lancaster County residents is available at COVID19.lincoln.ne.gov.  Those who do not have online access or who need assistance may call LLCHD’s COVID-19 hotline at 402-441-8006 from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays to register.  The vaccine is not yet available for the general public.  As vaccine doses become available, those who are registered will be given an appointment to be vaccinated. Appointments for vaccinations are dependent on vaccine supply and are not related to the order in which people register.
