A 71 year old man is recovering after an assault and robbery on March 2nd bear 11th and G Street. The victim told police he was approached by 59 year old Cornelius Moore. The two argued over a debt. The victim said Moore assaulted him with a blunt object, lost consciousness and when he woke up he was missing a small amount of cash. He had injuries to his face and was taken to a hospital for treatment.
On March 3rd just before 5 p.m., officers located Moore in the 2000 block of F Street and he was taken into custody. Moore was arrested for 2nd Degree Assault.
