Lincoln Police were following up on a shots fired call on February 21st at 33rd and Portia. Investigators were notified that 27 year old Joseph Martinez had a firearm in his possession and he was a convicted felon.
Lincoln Police found Martinez outside of home in the 100 block of Gaslight on March 3rd around 9:30 a.m. A search warrant was served and investigators found a loaded handgun inside his home and ammunition was found in his vehicle.
Martinez was arrested for possession of a firearm by a prohibited person. The investigation into the shots fired call on February 21st continues.
