Police Reminder: Don't Leave Vehicles Running, Unlocked and Unattended

By News Mar 2, 2021 | 10:08 AM

Since Saturday, February 27, 2021, 6 vehicles have been stolen in Lincoln when the vehicle was left unlocked, running and unattended.  LPD Officer Luke Bonkiewicz reported victims’ credit cards, tools, electronics, and other personal property were inside the vehicles and also stolen.

Police Officers patrol neighborhoods seeking to deter this kind of criminal behavior but need the public’s assistance in helping prevent these crimes.

LPD asks that you do not leave vehicles unlocked or left running unattended and remove any valuables or secure them in the trunk.
