…WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 3 PM CST THIS AFTERNOON…

Snow will continue with total snow accumulations of 1 to 4 inches across portions of east central, northeast and southeast Nebraska.

Plan on slippery road conditions. Slow down and use caution while traveling. The latest road conditions for the state you are calling from can be obtained by calling 5 1 1.

Details:

A wintry mix of light snow and freezing drizzle will change over to all snow this morning. Snow could be moderate to heavy at times, especially across western Iowa. Snowfall totals will range from 1-2 inches across much of the area, however areas along and east of the Missouri River could see upwards of 2-4 inches with some locally higher amounts north of I-80 in western Iowa.

A light coating of ice is also possible. Snow is expected to diminish from west to east by early afternoon. A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect through the afternoon for locations generally east and south of a Wayne to Columbus line. Travel could be hazardous with snow-covered roads and reduced visibilities in falling snow. .

Monday through Saturday Above-freezing high temperatures are forecast next week, which could lead to some ice movement in area rivers.
