On January 14th around 6:30 am, a police supervisor received a call from a citizen reporting a police cruiser driving erratic around 35th and A Street on January 8th around midnight.
The citizen described the cruiser as a white and black van with the word ‘Police’ on the vehicle. The vehicle was flashing the high beams, revving the engine, and tailgating. We were able to determine that this was not a law enforcement vehicle. Investigators have learned that there may people who have had a similar experience with this vehicle in Lincoln and are looking into that possibility.

If you are concerned and cannot call dispatch, you may drive to a lighted, public area to pull over. The photo shows an actual LPD cruiser.
