The Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department Friday announced that 168 lab-confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been reported in Lancaster County, bringing the community total to 25,050. The total number of deaths in the community remains at 178. Recoveries are up from 8,464 to 8,622. The positivity rate from January 10 through the 15th is 27.8%. The rate for January 3rd through the 9th was at 28.6%.
Hospitalizations for COVID-19 patients total 95 Friday with 66 from Lancaster County and 29 from other communities. Seven patients are on ventilators.
Symptoms of COVID-19 include fever, cough, shortness of breath, repeated shaking with chills, repeated muscle pain, headache, sore throat, new loss of taste or smell. If you have symptoms, please get tested. Testing is now open to all Lancaster County residents by appointment only.
