Nebraska’s defense continues to receive good news this offseason.
The latest is from linebacker Will Honas. The senior announced on social media Thursday that he will be returning. In the post, Honas says he is “Ready to go to work with this team for one more year!”

Honas has played in all but one game over his two full seasons in Lincoln. Starting seven games in 2020, he finished second on the team with 57 tackles and led the Huskers with 6.5 tackles for loss and 3.0 sacks, setting career highs in both categories.
Honas joins JoJo Domann, Cam Taylor-Britt, Deontai Williams, and Marquel Dismuke in returning for another season.
The only remaining decision among seniors on the defense is from Ben Stille, who is also expected to return.
