Another Big Ten game, another upset for the Huskers.
Nebraska (6-4, 4-3 Big Ten) got their third upset and second top-25 win of the last couple weeks Sunday at No. 23 Michigan State (8-2, 3-2 Big Ten).
Trailing 56-51 with eight minutes to go in the fourth quarter, Ruby Porter knocked down a 3 to spark a 12-2 run. The Huskers made just three free throws down the stretch, but that along with the Spartans to just one field goal over the final 2:42 led to the 68-64 upset victory.
Isabelle Bourne led Nebraska with 18 points and seven rebounds. Sam Haiby earned her first career double-double, scoring 11 points and grabbing a career-high 12 rebounds.
Nebraska shot 43.5 percent on the game, including 6-of-14 from 3.
The Huskers will look for another top-25 win when they host No. 16 Ohio State (6-0, 2-0 Big Ten) Saturday.
