Lancaster County Risk Dial Remains In “Red” For Week 3

The COVID-19 Risk Dial for Lancaster County remains in the Red, or severe risk of spread for yet another week.  The Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department today announced that two more residents have died from COVID-19, bringing the total number of deaths in Lancaster County to 66.  The individuals were a woman in her 90s and a man in his 70s who had both been hospitalized.

There are 184 new lab confirmed cases today bringing the weekly total to 1,337.  That number has doubled in the last three weeks.  Recoveries are up from 4,835 to 4,879.

The weekly positivity rate from November 15th through the 20th is at 29.1%.

There are 169 people hospitalized in Lancaster County with 18 patients on ventilators.

Symptoms of COVID-19 include fever, cough, shortness of breath, repeated shaking with chills, repeated muscle pain, headache, sore throat, new loss of taste or smell.  If you have symptoms, please get tested.  Testing is now open to all Lancaster County residents by appointment only.

  • Bryan Health: Former Graham Tire Store, northeast corner of 19th and “O” streets.
  • Test Nebraska: Starting Monday, November 23, the Gateway Mall location, 6100 “O” St., will be located in the north parking lot of the former Sears store.  The new location will have a climate-controlled drive-through facility able to accommodate 800 to 1000 tests per day.
