WHAT…Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches.

WHERE…Portions of east central and southeast Nebraska and southwest Iowa.

IMPACTS…Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could affect the Monday morning commute.

Snow develops along the Nebraska and South Dakota border late Saturday afternoon, then spreads southward toward Interstate 80 by Sunday morning. A winter weather advisory will be in effect for areas north of the Interstate Saturday night. .

Snow will continue across the area Sunday night and end south of Interstate 80 Monday.

Storm total accumulations of 1 to 7 inches are forecast. The highest amounts will occur in northeast Nebraska, and the lowest amounts in southeast Nebraska and southwest Iowa. Interstate 80 could see 2 to 3 inches.

Northerly winds ranging from 10 to 25 mph are expected, and there is some concern that trees that have not lost leaves could receive some damage due to a heavy snow load in northeast Nebraska.

There could be some impact for the Monday morning commute as well. A winter weather advisory will be in effect until Monday morning.
