By News Sep 25, 2020 | 10:06 AM

Lincoln Police were called to the 2800 block of Northwest 1st Street around 10 p.m. Wednesday, September 23rd.

Police received a call from the victim of a vehicle theft in Omaha.  The vehicle owner told police he received an anonymous  tip that his stolen Cadillac could be at that address.  When police arrived, the found the vehicle and ran the license plates.  They also had been reported stolen.

The homeowners had arrived at the residence when officers were there and reported that 33 year old Jeremy Wallace had brought the vehicle to the home and was likely inside the home.  Officers were given permission to enter and they found Wallace hiding under blankets in a back bedroom.  There were also two out-of-county warrants for his arrest.

While searching through Wallace’s property, officers found a motorcycle key that the homeowners said belonged to Wallace.  He had brought a motorcycle to the home earlier that month.  That motorcycle had been reported stolen out of Omaha on September 15th.

Wallace was booked on three counts of theft, all felonies.
