Hospitalizations from COVID-19 are exceeding peak numbers from earlier in the summer in Lincoln and are approaching the state all-time high.
Lincoln Public Schools added 49 cases from Sept 17-23 for total cases of 135 since school started Aug. 12
Eighty-two staff are under quarantine.
The University of Nebraska-Lincoln added 226 cases in the last two weeks as their total is 745 since August 12.
Health and school officials still report contact tracing hasn’t determined spread is happening inside the classroom. Infections are happening outside at gatherings or other social functions.
