Lincoln Man Sentenced To Federal Prison For Child Pornography

By News Sep 22, 2020 | 4:35 PM

A Lincoln man is sentenced in federal court in Lincoln for receipt of child pornography.  A judge sentenced 24 year old Joshua Clutter to 120 months in prison.  Clutter will then serve 20 years of supervised release and will be required to register as a sex offender.  Clutter will also have to pay restitution of $4,400 to three victims whose images were found in his possession.  There is no parole in the federal system.

On December 11, 2018, agents of Homeland Security Investigations served a federal search warrant on Clutter’s Lincoln residence.  Forensic analysis revealed 465 videos of child pornography on various devices.  More than 90 images included children in bondage.

During an interview, Clutter admitted downloading child pornography from age 4 and upward.  He admitted to viewing child pornography for sexual gratification.  Shortly after the warrant was served on his residence, Clutter went on the internet seeking to babysit young children.

This case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse launched in May 2006 by the Department of Justice. Led by United States Attorneys’ Offices and the Criminal Division’s Child Exploitation and Obscenity Section (CEOS), Project Safe Childhood marshals federal, state and local resources to better locate, apprehend and prosecute individuals who exploit children via the Internet, as well as to identify and rescue victims.
