86 Lab Confirmed COVID-19 Cases Wednesday

Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department reports 86 lab-confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been reported in Lancaster County Wednesday, bringing the community total to 5,388.  The number of deaths in the community remains at 21.

Recoveries are up from 2,079 to 2,113.  The Lancaster County positivity rate is up from 7.8% to 7.9%. The state rate is steady at 9.5% and the national rate steady at 8.5%.

There are 29 people hospitalized in Lancaster County with nine being county residents and 20 from other communities.  Two people are on ventilators.

The testing process begins with a free online risk assessment available at BryanHealth.com, CHIHealth.com or TestNebraska.com.  Drive through test sites include:

  • Bryan Health: LifePointe, 7501 S. 27th St.
  • CHI Health St. Elizabeth: Gateway Mall, 6100 “O” St., northwest corner of the mall.
  • Test Nebraska: Gateway Mall, northwest corner of the mall.  Test Nebraska appointment times are from 8 a.m. to noon and 1 to 6 p.m. today through Saturday.

The COVID-19 Risk Dial is at “Orange,” indicating a high risk of the virus spreading.
