ICYMI: Lawsuit Filed Against City of Lincoln For Required Mask Mandate

A class action law suit seeks damages for economic harm from the city of Lincoln’s required mask mandate.

The plaintiff in the suit is Madsen’s Bowling and Billiards who’s being represented by Berry Law and Mattson Ricketts Law Firm. The defendants are Mayor Leirion Gaylor Baird, Health Director Pat Lopez and Police Chief Jeff Bliemeister.

A joint release from the firm says the “mandates are void” and several other businesses have joined. T

he release goes on by saying the lawsuit “is not intended to convey a specific message as to whether or not the mandate is appropriate. “The lawsuit’s goal is to have businesses an employees to “earn a living without unlawful intervention of the government.”
