Arrest Made In Crime Spree Dating Back To July 27

 Lincoln Police made an arrest of a suspect in multiple crimes that date back to July 27th.  At 7:52 a.m., police were called to the 1000 bock of Upland Avenue for an auto theft.  The victim told police his pickup and a 10 foot trailer containing tools was taken.  The value of both totaled $31.150.  Officers found the vehicle on July 31st and recovered evidence, including fingerprints that matched the suspect, 33 year old Bryan Malone. 
On August 2nd  at approximately 7:27 p.m., officers were called to the 2200 block of North 50th Street after a man told police that someone had broken into his garage that contained a Ford Mustang. The door had been jammed to prevent anyone from entering the garage.  A short time later, a man ran from the garage.  The homeowner chased the suspect but was unable to catch him.  Police used video surveillance and fingerprints that identified the suspect as Malone. 
On August 7th at 8:10 p.m., police investigators were conducting surveillance regarding possible narcotics activity when they observed Malone in a vehicle in the area of South 15th Street and Mulberry Street.  When the vehicle stopped on the side of an alley near South 16th Street and Rose Street, investigators pulled behind the vehicle and attempted to contact Malone in the driver’s seat of the vehicle.  Instead of following police orders, Malone put the vehicle in reverse and slammed into the unmarked police cruiser causing $5,300 in damage.Police did not give chase as he sped away from the scene. 
On August 12th at approximately 3:57 p.m., officers responded to the 4000 block of North 11th Street on a report of a trespassing.  Three victims saw am man jumping fences when he started pounding on their door to be let inside.  Officers contacted the individual and immediately identified him as Malone from previous contacts. 
Officers cited and lodged Malone for the following offenses from the aforementioned incidents.  Theft by Receiving > $5,000, Attempted Burglary, Operating Motor Vehicle to Avoid Arrest, Criminal Mischief, Willful Reckless Driving , and Driving Under Suspension.
