Auto Theft, Larceny, Shoplifting Charges Filed After Long Crime Spree

An arrest is made in an auto theft and crime spree dating back to July 15th.  Police were then called to 25th and J after a white Chevy Impala was reported stolen from an apartment parking lot.  That vehicle was located on July 22nd at an apartment complex at 38th and Eagle Ridge Road.  The vehicle had been spray painted black with there was a lot of damage inside.
The victim had been looking at a Crime Stopper post for shoplifting and saw his stolen vehicle in one of the posts with a man behind the wheel.  The victim was able to point out specific things about the vehicle to identify it was his.  Police then saw video from the shoplifting case at Scheels on July 16th where a man was seen leaving the store with a pair of shoes and two beanies.  When confronted by security, the man fled the area in the white Impala with no license plates.  The man was identified as 21 year old Noah Miller.
On Thursday, August 6th, Miller was seen at the Luxury Inn at 2940 NW 12th Street at 1:30 p.m.  At that time he was taken into custody.
Miller was booked for felony theft by receiving for the Chevy Impala.  He was also cited for theft by shoplifting and theft.
On June 30th at 1 a.m., police were called to 22nd and Surfside on a report of several larceny from autos and an auto theft that had just occurred.  In one of those cases, officers found a Nintendo game system that was stolen from a vehicle.  When officers processed that vehicle, they found fingerprints that were submitted to the ID Lab.  Those prints belonged to Miller. Further charges are pending.
