Fast Mart Targeted Twice In Two Weeks, Arrests Made

By News Aug 5, 2020 | 12:23 PM

At 3 a.m. Wednesday morning, police were again called to the Fast Mart at 32nd and A Street after someone walking by heard an alarm sounding and saw broken glass.  Officers and the manager arrived to find alcohol, cigarettes and vape pens missing.  After watching store video, they saw four juveniles break the glass and enter the store.  Two of the boys were seen putting stolen items into a backpack while the others carried items in their hands.

One of the juveniles was identified by an officer as he was seen in the video from the Fast Mart burglary on July 22nd.  In that case, the window was broken and $1,400 in tobacco and alcohol was taken.  Officers went to the juvenile’s home and contacted a parent who allowed officers to search the home.  Police found all four juveniles responsible for the most recent burglary.  A backpack that contained some of the stolen items was found near a garage outside and had one of the juvenile’s names in it.

All four juvenile males, a 13 year old, two 16 and a 17 year old were referred for Burglary and Criminal Mischief.  After reviewing the video from the July burglary, police determined the three were responsible.

Three juveniles were referred for additional burglary and criminal mischief charges.  All of the teens were released to their parents.
