By News Jul 27, 2020 | 10:17 AM
An 18 year old man is facing charges after a shooting Sunday at 6 p.m. at 27th and Y.
Police were called to the area and found 31 year old Rafael Moreno sitting in a vehicle, covered in blood and unresponsive.  Officers started CPR and continued treatment until Lincoln Fire and Rescue arrived and rushed Moreno to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Police looked through video evidence and talked with witnesses who said that a gray vehicle pulled up next to Moreno’s vehicle.  The driver then pointed a handgun and shot the victim.  The gray vehicle then took off.
At 10 p.m., Tony Bush Jr. turned himself into the Lancaster County Jail and said he was the person responsible for the shooting.  Bush said he tossed the handgun and it has not yet been found.
Bush Jr. was booked for attempted 2nd degree murder, use of a weapon to commit a felony and tampering with evidence.
Moreno remains in critical condition.
Anyone with information is encouraged to call Lincoln Police at 402-441-6000 or Crime Stoppers at 402-475-3600.
