Mayor Leirion Gaylor Baird and the Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department announced Thursday that a 12th resident has died from COVID-19 in Lincoln.
Additionally, eleven new cases of COVID-19 were reported in Lincoln Thursday, bringing the community total to 1,659.
Health Director Pat Lopez said that the individual who died was a woman in her 50s.
Mayor Gaylor Baird expressed condolences to her family and friends on behalf of the City.
