A man reports being stabbed in the torso during an evening robbery.
Officer Erin Spilker said police were called to a hospital just after 7 pm Monday after staff reported a man with a stab wound had checked in.
On arrival, officers contacted a 25-year-old man who told police he was stabbed in the abdomen by an unknown person who proceeded to steal his backpack.
The backpack contained the victim’s laptop, wallet, and phone.
Investigators believe the stabbing happened in the area of 10th and B Streets around 6:30 p.m.
Anyone who may have more information is encouraged to call police.
The man’s injuries are not considered to be life-threatening.
