A man reports being robbed at gunpoint in broad daylight.
Officer Erin Spilker says police reported to an alley the 3800 block of South 48th St. around 1 p.m yesterday on a report of a robbery.
“The victim, a 36-year-old male, stated that while walking up to his residence, three men approached him,” said Spilker. “One of the men pointed a handgun at him and demanded money.”
The victim reported dropping his phone, at which point a scuffle ensued, during which the victim sustained scrapes and bruises.
“The three men fled the scene in a vehicle, but not before pointing a gun at the victim’s wife, who was still sitting in the vehicle, and threatened to shoot her,” said Spilker.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
