A man and his son report being shot at while attempting to escape an angry crowd early Sunday morning.
Officer Erin Spilker said police were called to La Cabana bar at 3223 North Cornhusker Highway around 2 a.m Sunday on reports of a group of people blocking in a victim and hitting his vehicle.
When officers arrived they observed a large group fighting in the parking lot and were directed to a nearby Hummer witnessed trying to run people over.
Officer contacted the occupants, a 46-year-old man and his 16-year-old son, who told officers as they were attempting to leave the bar in the Hummer, a crowd swarmed them and someone fired off shots.
Officers observed two bullet holes in the rear of the vehicle.
No injuries were reported.
An investigation is ongoing and anyone with more information is encouraged to call police
