An arrest has been made in a sexual assault investigation that the victim says occurred at a private, in-home daycare.
Lincoln Police Officer Erin Spilker says 29-year-old Victor Vidales was taken into custody Saturday afternoon after a teenager told a school resource officer in November of 2019 that she was assaulted multiple times over a 3 year period while attending a private, in-home daycare in the 3000 block of T St.
Spilker said Vidales was the son of the daycare operator at the time of the assaults.
Vidales was arrested for sexual assault of a child.
Because of the nature of the investigation, Spilker said the department is asking anyone else who may have been assaulted while attending the daycare to report to police.
