By News Jun 2, 2020 | 6:59 AM

A sign of peace Monday night on the north steps of the capitol building.

Protestors and State Patrol Major Mike Janhke then knelt on the north steps of the Nebraska Capitol late Monday night for nine minutes in honor of George Floyd.

The knelt for nine seconds, the time an officer in Minneapolis knelt on Floyd’s kneck.

A peaceful and supportive group was led by many people including Darrio Rosson who told us this is a “small step” in improving relations.

Dupree Prentic is one of the individuals who knelt with Jahnke.
