By News May 28, 2020 | 10:23 AM

Lincoln police are investigating a drive-by shooting on a home occupied by a family.

Lincoln Police Officer Erin Spilker said police responded to the 2500 block of South 10th St. around just before 10 pm Wednesday on reports of a drive-by shooting.

‘Witnesses observed a dark vehicle in the street with a gun being pointed out of the driver’s window,” said Spilker.

Witnesses also observed the vehicle flee the area at a high rate of speed.

Officers found damage to the gutter of a home in the area and contacted the family inside which consisted of two adults and three young children ages 8, 10, and 12.

No injuries were reported.

An investigation determined the act was likely targeted at the home, but not necessarily the family currently living there.

“Maybe someone who was in it before,” said Spilker.

Anyone with more information is encouraged to call police or Crimestoppers.
