Maurtice Ivy played a giant role in Nebraska women’s basketball’s first NCAA Tournament appearance, winning the school’s first Big Eight Player of the Year award while leading the Huskers to the 1988 Big Eight regular-season title, the first in program history. She was the first Husker to 2,000 points in a career and the first to claim three all-conference selections.

Ivy had eight 30-point games in her career, which she ended as as Nebraska’s all-time leader in points (2,131) and points per game (19.2). Currently, she ranks second all-time in points per game and third in total points. Ivy also ranks in the top ten all-time in field goals, free throws, blocked shots, and rebounds.

The Omaha native had her No. 30 jersey retired in 2011.

Ivy joins Terry Pettit (Volleyball Head Coach 1977-99), Jordan Larson (Volleyball 2005-08), and Amanda Burgoyne (Bowling 2004-07) as selections to the 2020 Nebraska Athletic Hall of Fame Class.

There are two student-athlete selections still to be announced.
