A man is taken into custody after hitting his roommate with a shovel over missing alcohol.
Lincoln Police Officer Erin Spilker says officers reported to the 2500 block of H Street Friday night on reports of a fight.
When officers arrived, they made contact with a 52-year-old man who was bleeding from the head.
“The male told officers that his roommate was upset over some missing alcohol and came at him with a shovel. The victim was able to dodge of few of the swings that came in his direction, but was not able to avoid a blow to the back of his head.”
Witnesses were able to confirm the what happened and 57-year-old Michael O’donahue was arrested for 2nd degree assault.
The victim was transported to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
