CHI Introduces Instant Message Chatline To Help Address COVID-19 Concerns

CHI Health has introduced a new service to help those who think they have COVID-19.

Division Director for Patient Access at CHI Health, Mikey Brewer, says the service is called Provider Chat and will be available to those who fill out CHI’s online COVID-19 screening questionnaire and are flagged as needing a follow-up.

“They’ll be given the option to either call the number for our support line or to click on a link where they will be connected via secure instant messaging platform with one of our providers,” says Brewer.

Depending on the symptoms, the practitioner may recommend a series of next steps, from self-isolation to actually getting tested.
