University of Nebraska System To Allow COVID-19 Patients Into Dorms

By News Apr 2, 2020 | 4:43 PM

Dormitories at all three University of Nebraska campuses could be used as additional “bed space” for COVID-19 patients.

Governor Pete Ricketts announced the new partnership between the state and the University System at Thursday’s Coronavirus briefing.

“The plan for these beds is to be able to use them for folks who need to quarantine and cannot go back home to do that…people who need to isolate, and then also people who are convalescing.”

The governor says the partnership will create around 2,100 new beds for potential patients.
