Woman Cited For Stealing 19-Year-Old Chihuahua, Assaulting Owner

A woman is cited for assaulting a man and taking his dog.

The Lincoln Police Department  reports officers were sent to a residence in the 2500 block of Theresa Street around 8:30 AM Monday where a 69-year-old victim  reported he was hit in the head by an associate who then stole his 19-year-old Chihuahua “Honey.”

Police soon made contact with the suspect, 46-year-old Sulathia Henry, who still had the dog in her possession.

Henry admitted to taking the dog and told officers she did it because she believed that it was being mistreated.

However, officers found no evidence supporting her claim and Honey was returned to the victim.

Henry was cited and released for theft and assault.
