Daily Police Brief: Shots Fired Near Hotel, Stabbing Victim Suffers Non-Life Threatening Injuries

Lincoln Police responded to a report of a stabbing in the 6400 block of Platte shortly after 9pm Thursday. A 47-year old Lincoln man was stabbed in the torso and was treated at a hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

Police located the suspect and weapon in the area and arrested 54-year old Johnnie Blackwater on charges of 2nd-degree assault and use of a weapon to commit a felony.

Shots Fired

LPD also responded to reports of shots fired at the Rodeway Inn near the airport shortly after 1am Friday.

Police found a ground floor window that was shot out. Damage to the facility is estimated around $300 dollars and police continue to investigate.
