Disabled Nebraskans Protected In Custody Cases With New Law

Governor Ricketts signs a new law protecting Nebraskans with disabilities in custody cases. The proposal prohibits courts from denying legal or physical custody of children based upon the disability of one of the parents. Sponsor Senator Tom Briese says it is critical to ensure that the best interest of children is always the number one consideration in custody cases.
