KLIN's Dip Contest Recipes
Black Bean dip
2 cans black beans (rinsed & drained)
2 can Mexican corn (drained)
5 fresh chopped tomatoes
3 bunches chopped green onion
1/4 c. fresh chopped cilantro (no more than this !!)
Put in bowl and stir to combine.
Mix: 1/2 cup oil
1/4 cup red vinegar
1 pkg Good Seasons Zesty Italian Salad dressing-dry
Toss all together and chill over night. Serve with tortilla chips.
Very strange combo but very good and very different than most.
This makes quite a bit so you could easily cut in half.

Hot Reuben Spread
1 1/2 cups shredded Swiss cheese (6 oz)
3/4 cup drained sauerkraut
1/4 cup Thousand Island dressing
1 8oz pkg cream cheese
5 oz thinly sliced corned beef-diced (I use Hillshire Farm brand-I have found it to be the best)
Put in crock-pot and mix together.Cover and cook on low for 1 to 1 1/2 hours or until cheese is melted. Stir to make smooth. Serve on small slices of rye bread (or the cocktail bread loafs
found in most deli's)
This is very good, especially if you like Reuben Sandwiches.

Taco dip
2 8oz pkgs cream cheese
1 16oz bottle of picante sauce (I use medium-you can use hot)
Mix with a beater/mixer until smooth. Put in pan and garnish with shredded cheese, you can sprinkle with black olives, tomatoes etc.
what ever you like.

The Tony and Luigi's classic dip
8 ounces of cream cheese (at room temperature)
18 ounces small curd cottage cheese,
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce,
1 package of Lipton Onion Soup Mix,
1 tablespoon chopped onion flakes, and
1 teaspoon garlic powder
--Combine all of the above and mix well. Refrigerate and serve the next day for best results.

Four Cheese Dip
1 loaf Italian bread, sliced into 1/4 in slices (such as ciabatta or semolina)
1 cup sour cream ( do not substitute light or fat free)
1 teaspoon thyme
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese or smoked mozzarella cheese,*
3 cups shredded smoked provolone cheese or provolone cheese,*
3 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
3 tablespoons grated romano cheese
(* This recipe calls for one of these two cheeses to be smoked and one to be regular)
TO SERVE
8 teaspoons fresh diced tomatoes
Preheat oved to 450 degrees
Arrange sliced Italian bread flat on a baking sheet and cover with foil. Set aside until ready to use.
Combine sour cream, thyme, red pepper, cayenne pepper and four cheeses in a loarge bowl and blend thoroughly.
Spray an 8x10 in casserole dish with pan spray, transfer the mixture. Spread mixture to create an even surface.
Place on center rack in oven. After five minutes, place baking sheet with bread, still covered, on top rack in oven.
Bake for an additional five minutes. Remove bread and fonduta from over. Garnish caserole dish with diced tomatoes.
Serve immediately.

Hot Mexican Dip
2lbs. hamburger
1 med onion
1 can cheddar cheese soup
1 can cr. mushroom soup
1-15oz can tomatoe sauce
2 cans diced green chilies
oregano to taste
Brown hamburger and onion. (drain if necessary). Add other ingredients. Simmer, or put in crock pot.
Great with Frito scoops, or Tostitos.
