The Lancaster County sheriffs office continues to investigate a two-vehicle fatal accident that occurred Sunday morning. The accident happened near Highway 43 and about a half mile south of Saltillo Road when a southbound Chevy Monte Carlo struck a northbound Chevy Astro van at around 8:40 a.m. The driver of the Monte Carlo, 22-year old Justin Muhm, lost control due to icy conditions and struck the van. Muhm was taken to Bryan Health West Campus where he was pronounced dead. The driver of the van, 42 year old Loren Rice of Bennett, was not injured in the crash. Both were wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident
