In the last few years, the progress in our city of Lincoln has just been amazing. Population keeps growing, unemployment is at an all time low, and new initiatives are happening at a rapid rate.
 
Consider the Pinnacle Bank Arena, The University Innovation Park, Antelope Valley Project, Union Plaza Park, Assurity Life Insurance, Memorial Stadium expansion, Farmers Mutual Insurance, and unprecedented street improvements.  And on the way, pending contributions by Nebraskans,  is the new Centennial Mall to replace the deteriorating one built in 1967.

Simultaneously, the improvements in quality of life are happening too.  Just this week, for instance, Celebrate Lincoln will bring world class music, food and arts to downtown Lincoln on Friday and Saturday.  This event is sponsored and presented by GoLincolnGo, with  management assistance provided by Broadcast House, and by the main community sponsor, St. Elizabeth Regional Medical Center.

Prices are extremely low so as to make this event affordable to nearly everyone.  UStop offers discount coupons, and several Lincoln corporations are making cash contributions to help pay expenses.

In addition, the city has renewed the Pioneer Park series of events to be held during the summer, Jazz in June starts today, and the Lancaster Events Center is so successful in presenting other types of events that they are proposing a new addition to accommodate even more national shows.  Live music is everywhere in Lincoln.  Our numerous local artists are among the very best.
