Nebraska Appleseed Says Latest Senate Health Care Proposal Leaves Tens of Thousands of Nebraskans Uninsured

Nebraska Appleseed says the updated Republican Senate health care proposal still leaves at least tens of thousands of Nebraskans uninsured.

Spokeswoman Molly McCleery tells KLIN News the proposal cannot be salvaged through small, cosmetic changes. She says it removes vital protections for Nebraskans with preexisting health conditions.

McCleery says the bill also deals a devastating blow to the Nebraskans who receive health coverage though Medicaid. She claims that it will cause especially seniors and Nebraskans who are sick, to pay higher costs to receive worse coverage.
