Give To Lincoln Day

By Tom Stanton May 25, 2021 | 9:36 AM

The 10th annual Give to Lincoln Day began Tuesday morning through the Lincoln Community Foundation.  President Barbara Bartle told Jack Mitchell on LNK Today each organization that participates will get a share of the $500,000 in matching funds.

Bartle says a record there are more than 450 local charities that are benefiting from Give to Lincoln Day. “It’s a great way to come out and say thank you for the great work this past year,” Bartle says.  “We’re here to get them back on their feet because their operations have really been impacted by not being able to have their fundraisers.”

During last year’s pandemic Bartle says they raised almost $7 million for nearly 450 charities. You can search the list of non-profits and make a donation online at GivetoLincoln.com.  $10 is the minimum donation for each charity.

Bartle says if you don’t want to give online,  you can donate in person on throughout the day Tuesday at the Lincoln Community Foundation,2 located at 215 Centennial Mall South, Suite 100 or  West Gate Bank branches in Lincoln.

In the last nine years over $33 million has been raised during Give to Lincoln Day.
