Jack Mitchell

--Co-Host of Jack & Dave in the Morning

Jack Mitchell has hosted the KLIN Morning show for over six years and during that time, he’s helped to develop a show that provides Lincolnites with the news and information they need to start their day, but in a way that’s full of energy, personality and humor.

Jack grew up in Lincoln, graduated from Lincoln East High and earned a Law degree from the University of Nebraska.  After spending several years as a civil litigation attorney at a local law firm, Jack decided to act on his longtime dream to be involved with talk radio and in 2006, he took over the Morning Show at KLIN, teaming up with Dave Miller.  In that time Jack has been able to combine his unique perspective on the news as an attorney with his love for making people laugh and his passion for the city of Lincoln into a top-rated morning show.

Jack is married to Meagan Liesveld, who is the director of donor relations and communications for CEDARS Youth Services in Lincoln.  The couple have a pair of children, seven-year old Johnny and two-year old Norah.  When he’s not at the radio station, Jack loves to spend his time taking his son to Husker sports events, jogging, cooking (particularly on the grill and smoker), playing cards, and honing his self-proclaimed ability to make the perfect music playlist for any occasion.

Born in Lincoln, Dave was raised in Iowa but moved back to Nebraska after college and has lived here ever since.  He and his wife Christine have 3 children; Connor, Jake and Lauren.

Dave is skilled in video editing, graphic design and other artistic endeavors and was at KLKN-TV prior to coming to KLIN.   When asked about co-hosting the KLIN morning show with Jack Mitchell, Dave said “I love being able to talk with someone new everyday and learn something I didn’t know before.  It also doesn’t hurt to have a gig where you can speak your mind and get paid for it!  I love everything about my job”.

Kevin Thomas

--Host Drive Time Lincoln, KLIN Program Director

Kevin grew up in Hastings and Omaha before College at UNL. Kevin has a wife Erin, and they both have family in Lincoln and Omaha.

Some of Kevin’s favorite activities, hobbies, and things he likes to do are; Church, drumming, playing golf and softball, Huskers, history, hanging out with his family.

Kevin started in radio before he was 10, getting to talk on the radio many times during his Grandpa’s radio show in Hastings.  “My first radio job out of college was as a sports director, but the first live play-by-play I did at that job was of a parade…on the radio.  Among my favorite moments at KLIN was living in an RV for three days outside of Haymarket Park when the Huskers were hosting an NCAA baseball regional.”

Something that Kevin likes most about his job at KLIN is, “I like that my job always has something happening.  Things move fast and we’re always encountering new things on KLIN.  KLIN and our listeners share passions like pride in our city, interest in news and of course the Huskers!”

Chris Whitney

--KLIN Sports Director & Husker Reporter

Chris was born and raised in Lincoln, NE--Graduate of Lincoln Southeast High School and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Chris’ mom, dad, and brother all live in Lincoln as well.

Chris is a HUGE sports fan--but he has the most fun playing sports. He loves to play indoor/outdoor soccer, basketball, go running, slow pitch softball. He likes to to travel--finally got his passport and went to Mexico over the summer and is going to Iceland over New Year's this year. He would really like to go to Australia for about a month if possible someday.

One of his favorite moments in radio was before the Missouri football game a few years ago, “I was down on the field and started talking with Rush Limbaugh. I told him I worked for his Lincoln affiliate KLIN and he proceeded to compliment my tie and grabbed it. Said it was sharp.”

I would someday like to cover the World Cup, the Olympics, or the Super Bowl, and every little quirky event in between that's maybe not as publicized or famous.
