LPD: Argument Over Babysitting Results In Broken Door, Spilled Chili

A disagreement over babysitting ends up with a bowl of chili being dumped on a porch of a Lincoln home.

Police say a 23-year-old female reported being assaulted by 23-year-old Ciarra Dykes after the victim told Dykes she wouldn’t be babysitting her kids.

Upset, Dykes began sending threatening texts and showed up at the victim’s home near the 900 block of Goodhue Boulevard just before 9 a.m. Tuesday. She allegedly kicked in the front door, punched the victim several times and dumped a bowl of chili on the porch as she left.

The victim didn’t have injuries and LPD cited Dykes for vandalism and disturbing police.
