Nebraska Senator Deb Fischer is taking a “wait-and-see” approach to the impeachment investigation plaguing the Trump administration.
“I haven’t seen any evidence yet,” says Fischer. “I’ll wait and reserve judgment until we have the evidence put before us.”
Fischer tells KLIN News, she’s been watching the investigations play out across news articles like every other Nebraskan due to the secretive nature of House investigations up until last Thursday.
She adds that she does expect the House to impeach the president, whatever further investigations uncover, and that senators from both parties are taking the situation seriously.
In addition to impeachment, Fischer also told KLIN News her foreign policy opinions, how space is quickly becoming the next theatre of war and what lawmakers are doing to help the country’s struggling agriculture sector.
