Manufacturing is making a rebound all across the country…and Nebraska Chamber of Commerce President Bryan Slone tells KLIN News that is especially so here in Nebraska. Slone says that Nebraska had pretty good growth in Domestic Product last year, placing the state 24th in the nation.
Slone says that agriculture has slowed a little bit because of commodity prices so manufacturing is really driving the bulk of Nebraska’s growth in the economy right now.
Slone says the state is very attractive for manufacturing with our central location and water reserve and economical energy costs. He also points out that we have two of the largest railroads with substantial investment in our state along with many of the larger truck carriers.
Slone talked to KLIN News from Washington D.C. where he is helping lobby for manufacturing in Nebraska.
