A Lincoln St. Patrick Catholic Middle School science and English teacher receives national recognition today.
Lyndsay Hartmann received the Milken Educator Award during ceremonies in St. Patrick’s school auditorium.
Hartmann was cited for doing whatever it takes to focus students’ attention. Hartmann was credited for not only being responsible for multiple class subjects, but also interweaving her lessons with history and literature, aided by technology.
Hartman is credited for an energetic, multi-curricular teaching style that not only keeps her students engaged, but it’s also working. Test scores for her students rose more than twenty percent in science, vocabulary and reading.
Hartmann will receive a $25,000 cash prize for the recognition.
