Lancaster County Planning Commission Approves 380,000 Chicken Poultry Operation

A Lincoln Premium Poultry plan comes one step closer to being built.

The Lancaster County Planning Commission has approved a special permit for the construction of a massive, 380,000 chicken poultry operation in Lancaster County on a 5-1 vote.

The approval comes despite protests against the operation from activists who say the operations size will negatively impact the quality of well-water as well as cause traffic burdens.

The approximately 100-Acre site is scheduled to go up near N 27th and West Ashland Road.

An appeal of the Commission’s decision is expected.
