LPD: Road Rage Incident Leads To Gunfire; Suspect, Victims Sought For Questioning

Lincoln Police are looking for a suspect who shot another car following a dispute.

Lincoln police Sergeant Max Hubka tells KLIN News officers were sent to the intersection of 30th and South streets around 8pm yesterday evening on reports of a weapons discharge.

“A road rage type incident had occurred between two vehicles” says Hubka. “During the course of that road rage incident there was some arguing and yelling, and some hand gestures exchanged between vehicle occupants.”

Then, someone opened fire.

“One shot was fired from one vehicle into the rear-tailgate area of the other vehicle,” says Hubka.

He says thankfully, no one in the victim vehicle was injured.

Police are still looking for the shooter and anyone with more information is encouraged to contact police on their non-emergency number.

Hubka says police are also looking for the initial victims to clarify the details of the incident.
