Medicaid Expansion Lawsuit Rejected By Nebraska Supreme Court; Will Be Filed in District Court Instead

The Nebraska Supreme Court is refusing to hear a case by a Lincoln advocacy group that claims the state is slow-rolling voter approved Medicaid expansion.

Nebraska Appleseed says although the Supreme Court refused to hear the case, they didn’t reject its merits.

Now, the groups says they will pusue the case in District Court.The lawsuit is being filed on behalf of two people who would benefit from expanded Medicaid coverage.

The state has said expansion will have to wait until 2020.
