Lincoln Public School Students Are Back In the Classroom

It’s back to school for most Lincoln Public School students. Superintendent Steve Joel tells KLIN News that things were running smoothly as he visited a number of schools Monday.  Older high school students started Tuesday.

Superintendent Joel says they are awaiting a final recommendation from the Community Advisory group on high school proposals to deal with overcrowding in Lincoln’s High Schools. The committee initially is recommending two new high schools for a thousand students, one north and one south.

Joel says they have two main goals going into this school year…addressing buildings needs and equity.
